The following was taken from a local groups website and shows Tom Blues ties to the Pro Illegal Immigrant groups in town. Why elese would it be noted that he is bringing peggy and she is in deep trouble with someone backed by anti illegal immigration groups?

“Our next meeting will be at Puccinis Smiling Teeth, around sevenish. Its time for us to dig into the current field of candidates and talk about whom were supporting.

Please note that Tom Blues, a City Council member that CFK endorsed in 2004 and 2006, will be bringing Peggy Henson. She was appointed to Richard Maloneys Council seat in the 11th district after he resigned, and is running to keep it in the fall. She needs all the help she can get, as anti-immigration factions are backing her opponent.

Peggy will be introducing herself to the group, so Id love to have a good turnout for her. She will be saying a few words about her philosophy and priorities.

Please, please let me know if you are planning to come. If I am to reserve space at Puccinias, I need numbers. You can write me back at this email addy or at sglenn88@gmail.com .

Many thanks,

Sarah Glenn “

We all know Mayor Newberry, Tom Blues, Peggy Henson and others support ID cards and expanded benefits for illegal aliens. Hopefully we stop lexington from following in the footsteps of San Francisco.

A San Francisco Superior Court judge today ruled that the city’s plan to issue municipal identification cards to residents regardless of immigration status does not violate state and federal law. Judge Peter Busch tossed out a lawsuit filed by the Immigration Reform Law Institute of Washington D.C. on behalf of four San Francisco residents who argued the program would amount to aiding and abetting illegal immigration. The ruling was a victory for city officials looking to implement the ID card program, which the Board of Supervisors approved in November but Mayor Gavin Newsom put on hold in August to make sure it complies with state and federal laws. Newsom’s move came after a series of Chronicle articles explaining how the city regularly shielded young illegal immigrants from deportation after they were found guilty of felony crimes. That practice has since been stopped.

How is it that Tom Blues sits on the Urban County Council for district #2 but does not have a clue or a care about what happens in his own district? How can you sit on the council and not know a $23 million dollar building has been made into a $42 million dollar building. How do you allow a building like this be moved and back up to a neighborhood? How is it you sit on the council and don’t know that it has happened? An even better question is how do you sit on the THE PLANNING COMMITTEE and don’t know this is happening? Maybe you were spending to much time worrying about how to best help illegal aliens instead of looking out for the best interests of your district.

Tom were you taking a nap? Maybe you can blame this on someone else like you did the failure of the downtown master plan at a cost of $500,000 to tax payers. Another question Tom, how is it you are on the planning committee but didn’t realize $500,000 of tax payer money was being wasted on a plan that was in your own words “A failure” That is how I would rate your two years on the council. A failure.

I have one last question for Tom Blues and the rest of the council. where are we getting the extra 20 million to pay for this? More bonds? How are we going to pay for this when according to Dr. Stevens we don’t have enough money to keep the trees alive downtown but we are going to be able to pay an additional 20 million for a building we don’t need?

Excluding these bonds we are issuing OVER $500,000,000 IN BONDS THIS YEAR! That’s right 500 MILLION in bonds! Hopefully they are not off on the amount they need by 90% like they are this project. Just for the record the interest on that is over 3.5 million a year. Also for the record $290 million for the sewer, $70 million to fund police and fire pensions, $135 million for eastern state $6 million for the theater, and there is still more but that is 501 million there. There is no way this reckless spending cannot force the council to raise your property and payroll taxes.

Remember on November 4th to Write In Randy Tobia and put a stop to this nonsense

Why is Tom Blues rejecting my open records request? My assumption is Tom Blues is hiding something why else would he waste YOUR TAX MONEY using a county attorney to defend a position that has already been tried numerous times in court. This type case has already been tried in court yet Tom Blues and the Urban County Council want to waste your tax dollars to challange an Attorney General’s Office investigation and previous court rulings. One such ruling for your reading pleasure would be Courier-Journal v. Governor Ernie Fletcher – The Courier-Journal sought copies of all e-mails sent to and from a state e-mail address assigned to one of the governor’s unpaid advisors. The state denied the request, and the newspaper went to court, obtaining an order that the state disclose all e-mails relating to personnel matters, requests for government action and general government business.

And another

Fletcher v. Courier-Journal – In another lawsuit related to governor’s office e-mails, The Courier-Journal challenged the state’s denial of access to e-mails sent and received from a government e-mail address used by the governor. Again, the court held that The Courier-Journal was entitled to most of the e-mails, but that certain categories of e-mail were protected from disclosure by specific exemptions to the state open-records law.

So why then would they not just comply with the previous court rulings. Instead they have now initated stall tactics so the emails wont be released until after the election. Why would they want to do that? Hummm smells like someone is hiding something to me

Tom Blues challenged me to find proof he supported ID cards for illegal aliens and expanded benifits for them. I filed an open records request but Mr. Blues and the Urban County Council rejected the open records request. Now Mr. Blues is going to waste tax payer money defending a position that has already been ruled on by the courts. I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office and they are investigating. Please call Tom Blues office at 859-258-3200 ask for Tom and tell him to release the records! Join our email list post a message on the “Forum” and that will register you to win a pair of UK basketball tickets. We are giving away 10 pairs of game tickets including the Florida and Indiana games.

Welcome to Fayette County, Kentucky! Apart from the people actually living in the American state of Kentucky, very few individuals actually take the time to know things about Fayette. This is quite a shame, really, because Fayette County, Kentucky happens to have an interesting story, a story that more folk should actually know about. Located in what is known as the inner Bluegrass region of that state, Lafayette has a coextensive government with the City of Lexington, forming the Lexington-Fayette metropolitan area. Lexington serves as its county seat, but the relationship is certainly more complicated than that. While there is only one city associated with the county of Fayette, it is most definitely home to a number of communities, including the historic Chevy Chase.

Fayette County also has a history worth knowing, one that is of particular interest to those who get a kick out of learning about territorial histories of the country. Quite beautiful in its simplicity, it’s actually one of the fastest-growing counties of the state of Kentucky.

Fayette may not be all that flashy, but it’s nevertheless a wonderful place – it has lovely communities, a proper school system, and an interesting territorial history. And it’s worth getting to know.

So come in, have a look around, and fall in love with Fayette County Kentucky.
